Our feral cats

Cats who can’t be rehomed, and the sanctuary they call home.

Why they live here

Some cats can’t be rehomed. They arrive too wary of people to ever settle indoors, and for them a home would mean a lifetime of stress rather than comfort. Cats who our animal care team judge unsuitable for adoption join the colony instead, and stay with us permanently.

They live on site with the run of the sanctuary, coming and going as they please. There are around twelve of them at the moment, though the group changes over the years. You’re welcome to get to know them below, even if they’d rather you didn’t get too close.

Every cat in the colony gets

  • Vaccinations up to date
  • Neutering
  • Daily food and fresh water
  • A warm, dry place to shelter
  • Veterinary treatment when needed
